We love this Bauhaus-era police school, built in Berlin circa 1931. The industrial-functionalist design by architect Conrad Beckmann is perfectly complemented by Marcel Breuer's tubular chrome furniture.

Bauhaus-trained architect Marcel Breuer designed the library at St. John's University in the 1950s. Massive concrete structures support the coffered ceiling in the reading room. We also love Breuer's custom-designed tables with built-in lighting panels.

In 1962, Bauhaus-trained architect Marcel Breuer designed the Brutalist-style Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Building in Washington, D.C. The recessed square window openings create patterns of light and shadow that shift as the sun moves across the sky during the day.
