Designed by Mies van der Rohe in 1956, the refined minimalism of Crown Hall prompted Time Magazine to call it "one of the world's most influential, inspiring and astonishing structures." Located on the IIT campus in Chicago, Crown Hall has been designated a National Historic Landmark.
