Samson House street facade with a green gate and red tiled roofs

Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Vietnam

Samson House

Between taller neighbouring buildings in Nam Dinh, Vietnam, Samson House presents a low street frontage beneath red tiled roofs. Completed by adrei studio in 2024, the house has a pale yellow facade with a green entrance gate. A sloping canopy shelters the ground-floor window, while the upper room sits behind a terrace overlooking the street.

Inside, an open courtyard brings daylight into the depth of the house. Sliding glass doors connect it to the ground-floor rooms, with a passage running along one side. Across the courtyard, a pink wall holds a small balcony above a window. The glazing keeps this outdoor space visible from several parts of the interior.

The dining table stands beside the courtyard beneath a tall void, with the kitchen further back. Upstairs, a landing looks across the open interior through a metal railing. A room beneath a pitched ceiling opens onto the front terrace; small windows in its green wall admit light at different heights.

Green paint continues from the street gate to the interior railings and the edges of the upper walkways. Pale yellow walls surround these openings, while the pink courtyard wall marks a change in colour deeper inside. Patterned paving covers the courtyard floor. Circular details recur in the metal balustrades and window grilles, and timber furniture sits beside the large glass doors.
